It's curiosity, really. I wonder about something. I won't find the answer unless I start to write.
I have a friend who's also a writer. She hasn't published anything yet, but that's OK. It's the journey, not the product. But she treats her writing like a product. She spends weeks with sticky notes and story boards and outlines and methodologies. That's what she enjoys. I get that. Her product is her journey.
But for me, it's that I want to find out what happens in the story. For me, it's just like reading. It's kind of like I read the book before it gets written. I'm surprised by the surprises. Not everyone enjoys my storytelling style. That's OK, too. What inspires me is wondering what happens next. Who are these characters, where did they come from, where are they going? I get inspired to write because it's the only way to find out.

Marilyn, Greetings. I'm hooked on your books. Relating to the Nogud series, what are your thoughts reconciling the seeming ease for a woman to run away and declare herself a widow with the permanent attachment of bedmate tokens? Thanks for all of the entertainment that you have shared.

Hi Marilyn, I just finished reading Cognito Sum: Daughters of the Woods. I really enjoyed it and stayed up very late to finish. I noticed a few typographical errors. Would you like to hear about them? Chapter 9 The Honey-Moon Highlight (yellow) - Page 68 was Note - Page 68 I think this should be "wasn't" instead of "was" Highlight (yellow) - Page 74

Not so much a question as a comment. I totally enjoyed reading all the books you have published so far. I love the characters and the stories. I honestly don't care which book comes out next I can't wait to read any of them as I find them all fascinating and very entertaining. I've read all the books at least twice and sometimes more just because I really enjoy the characters. When will we see another book?
