How did you decide on Nightjar as a name (and as a love interest for Peter)?

I chose Nightjar as I wanted a name that conjured an image of a creature of the night, mysterious and fae. I hadn't heard of it being used before in any other book. She has hidden depths that are yet to be explored. Peter has no one and she has the ability to give him support and guidance. Their importance to each other becomes crucial in later books.
