I love to research all sorts of things - plants and animals, how our bodies work, scientists from long ago. And often through researching, I'll stumble across something so fascinating, it just seems to beg for a story. That's how "Crow Flight" began - as a bit of research on crows and ravens. Once I learned how brilliant these birds are (their intelligence is on par with great apes, dolphins and young children), I fell in love. And as they flew into my heart, the idea for a story followed.
