Goodreads asked Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple I am a HUGE fan of Diana Gabaldon, and her writing style and the story stuck with me since I first read Outlander in 1993. After reading many, many other romances, I noted that some read so well while others left me wanting. I said to myself, I can do this, and so I did. It took me 10 years (ah!) to get this book to publication, but a second in the series (yet a standalone) is in the works - I am about 60% done with the initial writing, and I hope to release it in January. I am a bit late to my romance writing, shelving any large scale writing for nearly 20 years as I worked as a college professor and raised my kids. Not enough time for all the words!
