In the book things i cant forget did you base the character Emily off you? because Emily started to charge after she went to dc and in the end of the book you mention that "when i left middle Tennessee and moved to Washington dc, i found that my believe began to change". so is emily you in some ways? and i live in dc too. you should come to the national book festival

I did not base my character Emily off me in entirety, but I did draw from my experiences of leaving my hometown while writing her character. At 18, when I left my hometown in Tennessee, I began to realize that other people have different beliefs and think in different ways. That's the main idea that I explored in THINGS I CAN'T FORGET - that we all have different beliefs and that's totally okay. And I hope I'll get a chance to do the National Book Festival one day. Thank you for the question!

I never tire of reading Catching Jordan again and again. I'm not sure if anybody has asked this but, is there any chance that you give us another version of it but from Sam's POV?
The thing is everytime I read it I'm just dying to know what's going on his head. He has been in love with her this whole time so it would be so cool to get to know how deals with being just Jordan's best friend.
