Origin was the book I picked out for our high school Reading Club, which I LOVED! I finished it today, but there are many of my students who have yet to get done. I am so excited to talk to them about Pia's character and her confusion/fear of the scientists at Little Cam. Did you have to do any research on Stockholm Syndrome or on brainwashing?

Jessica Khoury Hi there! Thank you so much! I did do research into brainwashing, including cults' use of it. A big part of it is the limitation of information, which is why Pia's textbooks are largely blocked out. It's pretty chilling, but that kind of censorship is something that happens all the time.

I am currently reading this book and I think this is one of the best books I have ever read.I want to become a musician one day and this book is so inspiring for me.I always wanted to read a book which had a music school.In this book I didn't only get that but also so much more.And are you yourself a musician too?Is this book getting a sequel?
