I've been a long time fan of your Shadow Dance Series and just came to find Blood of the underworld. Is this a squeal to the previous series? I saw this was published first which confuses me but I'm excited at the prospect.

Blood of the Underworld was the start of a planned new trilogy prior to Orbit buying the rights to the Shadowdance Series (which at the time was only three books). So Blood of the Underworld was renamed A Dance of Shadows, and made book four of Shadowdance. Does that make sense?
I also wrote a FAQ about the whole Orbit purchase way back when, which might also help explain. You can read it here: http://ddalglish.com/wp/2013/11/26/fa...

Just a comment.....I've read many different genres but once I discovered fantasy I really haven't gone back. And for years I was stuck (?) reading D&D novels for well over 20 years. Still do BUT....I found your books and absolutely love them. Started with The Paladins and am now on The Half-Orcs. As soon as employment come my way I am going to be getting the rest of your books. What books are you currently reading that you would recommend? Do you know how to play Chess? Have you read BONE by Jeff Smith? You should read BONE by Jeff Smith. Alright that's all for the first volley. You're move good sir....

So after reading both the paladins and the half-orcs series, my favorite 2 characters are by far Tarlak and Jerico, because I like the way they show their humour. My question is if they might be more prevalent, or remain the same, or even decrease in more books in these series, or make appearances in other series you write? Thanks for your time in advance, and I'm sorry to hear about the nerve problem you have.
