If I'm stuck in a story, I usually take a break and try to refill the creative well, either by reading, watching a movie, or taking the dog for a walk. I try to let my thoughts about the book percolate in the back of my mind without thinking too actively about it, and usually, almost always, an answer presents itself within a few days. That said, sometimes, with deadlines looming, I just have to push through! I can't always wait on the muse :)
