Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kayla N. Jones I got the idea for my most recent book (which is my novel Set Me Free) from a lot of things. I drew inspiration from the books The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas for the main basis of the story and how it was going to go. The rest of my ideas came from my own personal experiences or the things that I've witnessed in the news or across social media about police brutality against black people and racism.
