Goodreads asked L.M. Riviere:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

L.M. Riviere The year was 1986, and I opened a huge box wrapped in bright She-Ra wrapping paper. Inside, was Time Life's Enchanted World Series. Particularly, the volumes 'Faeries' and 'Gods and Monsters', caught my undivided attention. My favorite stories were of Lear's Children, Tam Lin and the Faerie Queen, and the sack of Ireland by the Tuatha De Dannan.

I devoured books about the gods of ancient Ireland and Wales, and by the time I was 18, 'The Sons Of Mil' was already written, titled, and copyrighted. Those books were the beginning of everything for me, as a writer.
