Dear Vicky, I loved your, "How to Breathe Underwater" so much! I'm 60 years=old but the fact that Kate, the protagonist is a swimmer is what drove me to read your book. Hi Laura! So, I've actually never taken part in competitive swimming. I'm a terrible swimmer! I always tell people I'm the Michael in the story: I can only dog paddle! But I am a HUGE fan of swimming. I watch it every chance I get, and I think it's a beautiful and inspiring sport!

Hi Vicky! Just wondering if your book, How to Breathe Underwater (or any of your other books) is appropriate for a mature 11-year-old girl in 6th grade? Is there explicit material that would be inappropriate? She loves romance books and it's hard to find appropriate content for her in YA, especially because she can sometimes go through 2 a day! :) Thanks!
