Such a fun question! I started developing Julia's character some twenty years ago. I was a different person then! In writing her and becoming published, I've grown a lot in confidence and in my determination to be myself--traits Julia has but which Veronica demonstrates in abundance. I think both characters have so much in common, but Veronica pushes many of those qualities much further. At this stage in my life, I definitely relate more to her although if it weren't for Julia, I would never have gotten here. Thanks!

Why oh why did you change the cover of the paperback for the third book of the Veronica Speedwell mysteries?? I had bought the first two books in paperback and wanted to order the third in paperback so they all matched and it shows a completely different cover. Is the original cover from the hardcover (A Treacherous Curse) coming out at all??
