Hi Amy, I love your Miss Kopp series and have just started Midnight Confessions. I wondered why you switched to third person for this one. Was it perhaps in order to show other characters' perspectives? We get to hear from Fleurette and Norma in their own words! Or to include scenes where Constance isn't present? Best wishes, Annabel

Yes--all of that! One of the limits of a first person perspective is that nothing can happen unless Constance is there to witness it, or someone tells her about it. I found it was getting kind of tiresome for Minnie and Edna to have to explain every little thing to Constance. I was reading at Edith Wharton novel and I just loved how she handled the third person, so I decided to do that.
One of the things I love about writing these books is that my publisher doesn't expect them to be cookie-cutter replicas of what's come before. I'll switch formats, POV, etc from book to book to suit the story (and to keep myself entertained!)

Hi Amy, I just finished reading "Girl Waits with Gun" and I'm itching to recommend it to my mom and sister. Can you tell me if there's a plan to get any of your books translated into Spanish? I have a feeling that after reading your other books I'm going to want to recommend them too but I'm the only one in my family that speaks English :(

Just finished Last Bookstore in America. Not sure if you meant to, but you sure gave an eye-opening view into our potential future in the electronic age. How intentional was this? Makes me want to buy a book! I do have a small shelf of books I could never part with, a few of which have my name in them as a consultant or whatever. Thanks for making me think all the while enjoying the gardening aspect of the book :)
