Jodi Taylor:
Hi Jodi, Belated Happy New Year to you! I might not have been paying attention, but when St Mary's starts doing jumps to find and then hide artifacts for Thirsk to discover in today's world, why are those artifacts not considered Foreign Objects to History? Thanks,
Jodi Taylor
Hi - and a belated Happy New Year to you. February already - where did the year go?
History ignores the artifacts because they never leave their own time. Let's say St Mary's jumps to 1066 to recover Harold's sword. They find it but they can't jump away with it because they're taking it out of its own time. But they can bury it and if it remains undiscovered all that time - always a bit of a risk - they can dig it back up again exactly as an archaeologist would do because it's arrived in 2019 quite normally. If that makes sense.
Best regards,
Jodi

Jodi Taylor:
Hi Jodi, Thoroughly enjoying the books - I've also inducted my wife into St Mary's way of life! Sorry for asking a nit-picking question - In the Time Police novels the phrase Time-travel/Time-travelling etc. starts with a capital "T", but not in the St Mary's books. Is this a deliberate choice just for The Time Police? Many thanks.

Hi, my sisters and I are huge fans of the St. Mary's books. I am currently re-listening to them. And while I have a huge number of questions (I try not to overwhelm you with them) I was wondering, Max rescued Bashford and Grey, will there be the opportunity to rescue the historians from the other pod that was stolen?

Hi Jodi, I'm on my second round reading the St. Mary's books. Mostly, of course, because I very much enjoy them. But I also wanted to figure out how old Max is in the books. But I'm already starting to get lost again in book #1. ;-) In the Dramatis Personae, you say she's in her late 20s (during the main events, I assume), but I can't figure out her own biological age e.g.in book 14. Could you help, please? Ta! :-)
