Alison
Alison asked Jodi Taylor:

Hi Jodi, Belated Happy New Year to you! I might not have been paying attention, but when St Mary's starts doing jumps to find and then hide artifacts for Thirsk to discover in today's world, why are those artifacts not considered Foreign Objects to History? Thanks,

Jodi Taylor Hi - and a belated Happy New Year to you. February already - where did the year go?

History ignores the artifacts because they never leave their own time. Let's say St Mary's jumps to 1066 to recover Harold's sword. They find it but they can't jump away with it because they're taking it out of its own time. But they can bury it and if it remains undiscovered all that time - always a bit of a risk - they can dig it back up again exactly as an archaeologist would do because it's arrived in 2019 quite normally. If that makes sense.

Best regards,
Jodi
