Tabetha Waite This doesn't sound like it would fit into the category of a love story. It's a survival plot set in the future, so in that case, I would say little to no romance, unless you are going to write a flashback scene where the mercenary was married. Even then, for it to be a romance novel, it would need to have a HEA.
