This is a tragic story that started during the Memorial Day weekend in 2005. It's a case I was involved in when I practiced law in Ohio. I received a phone call asking me to assist a family whose daughter was in the hospital. She had been shot in the face, twice, and the county coroner wanted to interview her. They thought they needed an attorney. In hindsight, what an understatement. It's a true story, and it had a tremendous impact on Stacy, her family, and the people living in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
