On a brief visit to SC (where I live now!) we took a carriage tour around the historic town, and I heard the story of a man whose courage and determination changed his own life and that of many others. I couldn't get him off my mind, and my curiosity led to more and more questions. My imagination and research led to the beginning of the book, and I just kept going! I'm so pleased to be able to share his story now!
