Do you have any idea when the sequel to void will come out and is there a way for Halar to ever overcome his religion allergy? With all the quasi deific stuff going on with him it doesn't seem to unreasonable. Also, will you ever cross genres? I really would like to see how the wizard vampire mad scientist would do in an world with comic book heroes and villains?

Book Six will be this year, but I've just started the rewrite-and-edit process.
August, maybe, as a wild guess.
The trouble with his religion allergy is the nature of his vampirism. The energy-state beings are, by definition, patterns--they're entities of order. The chaos in his blood, on the other hand, is the antithesis of this. He exists in a dynamic equilibrium with the chaos infestation, and when it's active, the effects of an order manifestation are... unpleasant.
And Eric crosses genres all the time! However, I take your point about comic book stuff. I do have some ideas on the whole superhero thought, but they may wind up in Book Seven... or in a book of Other Tales about the times Eric was "off-camera" during his main adventures!

Spoilers for Fugue/From His Shadow. Now that he's dead, I figure it's safe to ask! "Reverend" Aldin makes some interesting allusions to what he is. One that stuck out to me specifically was 'What order and circle does your father belong to?'. Orders, Circles, and angels being somewhat of a pressing concern, was Aldin a Nephilim? As an aside, does that indicate that Fire Witches fall into that same category?

(2/2) who fits that particular bill. Especially with having dark churches and wicked minions spreading evil on Earth-lines. Is Eric dealing with the thing that inspired the tales of Lucifer? If so, Angels might not necessarily be against lending him a hand. Valan (Velan? Velen?) certainly seemed like he was troubled by Eric's fairness towards him, and considering the wider implications.

thank you, it makes your books even better i think, as it seems you use your imagination for the bits that science doesn't have an answer for and you use science when it does have an answer? Like the nuclear radiation bit actually made me go and look up a bit of nuclear physics to find the numbers you had crunched were basically the right ones. awesome, please keep up to fantastic logic-filled work!
