Just finished reading luna and the genetic selection in the book got be thinking. Could Halar grab DNA from an alternate reality version of himself, make it as genetically perfect as possible, then splice it with 1st gen elf DNA to get the best of both species, then turn that soulless uber body into a nightlord and transfer his soul into it.
