Goodreads asked Martha Louise:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Martha Louise More than likely the beginning of your writing occurred many years ago. You may have had a diary in elementary and high school, and you journaled through college. Or you wrote poetry or prose when you were suddenly inspired with a thought and were forced to cognitively choose among the multiple branches of ideas and details that flooded your thinking. If you are considering an article, blog, or book idea, start your notes. Take more notes until the conception is clear. Write from your heart, develop your unique style, and don't compare yourself to other writers. Ever. Write to please yourself. Go with it and feel the bliss when you know you "nailed it."
