Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nicolette Hale There was a very long series of winter storms. One after another, they came. They hid the sun. Every day was gloomy and dark. Finally, one morning, the sun shone brightly in a near-clear sky. I felt such relief and thought, "I need the sun! I love the sun!"

It was from this idea of deeply needing and relying on the sun, that my main character, Meira sprang. She physically needs the sun for energy. She basks in the light every morning and receives strength for the day, not only for herself but enough for her to assist others staying at the inn.
