Goodreads asked Grace A. Johnson:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Grace A. Johnson This is a hard question for me. I like the money, I really do. But for me, that's not it. I like knowing that my name is out there, that people can see my work. But that's not it either. Currently, I'm neither rich nor famous, and wouldn't mind if I remained like that. For me, the best thing about being a writer is being used by God to touch other people's lives. I want, more than anything in the world, to give other people hope, joy, peace. To show them the love of the Father. And if I can do that through writing, then I will.
But that's not to say that I don't enjoy the sheer pleasure of creating a whole new world with lovable people and interesting places and wild adventures. If I never got published, if I never finished a book, if no one ever read my work, I would be content with my worlds and my characters. But joy, real, true joy, only comes from the Lord and from doing His work.
