I skip around. So I had a massive block while writing Mafias kiss, but i had a scene I reallly wanted to get out. But being a newbie, I had no idea that skipping around was okay. So after talking to some friends, they said well just write that one scene out and then it will help.
So a week later, the block is gone and words are flowing!
