Hi there! I was just wondering if you had a book about Robert Ash (Texas Ranger) and Belinda? They were mentioned in 'A Worthy Pursuit'. Also, are Dead-Eye Dan and Hammer Rockwell characters from an actual book series or did you just make them up for the story? Thanks!

Hi, Katelyn.
There is no separate book for Robert Ash and Belinda. I always strive to make my secondary characters as lifelike and developed as my primary ones, and when Ash stepped onto the stage to assist Stone, I wanted to give him a rich backstory. And being the hopeless romantic that I am, I gave him a romantic backstory. :-)
The Dead-Eye Dan and Hammer Rockwell characters are figments of my imagination. They were not part of any actual 19th century dime novels. I did have a lot of fun writing portions of a Dead-Eye Dan novel into the novella - The Husband Maneuver, which is a sequel to A Worthy Pursuit. Each chapter of that story starts with a passage from a Dead-Eye Dan dime novel, so it was like writing two stories in one!

Hi Karen! I have just discovered you! So far I have read Short Straw Bride and To Win Her Heart. I loved both! I am getting ready to read Stealing the Preacher next. I see that there are 2 full length Archer novels and one novela but there are 4 brothers. Did I miss something? Or was the fourth brothers story the secondary romance in Short Straw Bride?
