I find the best way to deal with writer's block is to refuse to acknowledge it. Sure, it will come along, but I don't have to look it in the face and scream, "There it is! Oh, the horror!" Instead, when it comes a'calling I can calmly reply, "Beg pardon? I don't know who you are, I'm sure." And go on my way.
