Ed Ward This volume goes from 1964-sometime in the early '70s (although the cover says 1978 because the book ends with an out-of-sequence chapter about Elvis' death). Just finished reading History of Rock & Roll, Vol.1..quick question why in the chapter on 1956 didn't you mention Bill Doggett's Honkey Tonk? You mentioned lots of other instrumentals, and even if it never went to #1, it did peak at #2 and was on the chart 39 weeks..just curious. Loved the book. Grew up in the '50's and great to re-live those exciting memories.
