Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Dixie Dawn Miller Goode My most recent books were just published together. They are only recent in terms of actually being offered to other people, but in my life they are nearly 20 years old. The inspiration for Moonrise, was finger-painting with and singing lullabies to my two young men, back when they were just toddlers. The inspiration of Rainbows Around Us, goes even further back. In Jr. High and High school I had a good friend who was blind, and I struggled to think how to describe something like sight, and colors to someone who had never seen. i wanted to use descriptions from taste and smell and touch to explain the color photographs in my book.
