My brother (Dennis) got me into your books and I am so happy he has. Are you ever going to venture away from Riyria into a different path?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey Jay, thanks for asking. And please tell your brother I said hello, and thank him for helping to spread the word. As for venturing away for Riyria...I already have. Legends of the First Empire is based in the same world as Riyria but its set 3,000 years before Royce and Hadrian are born. I'm also 1.5 books into The Rise and the Fall series, which is also not a Riyria title (but like the other books it is set in Elan). That one will be a trilogy that will fall between Legends and Riyria in the timeline. Then there is Hollow World, which is my time-travel, sci-fi thriller. I also have a horror novel that I've been working on but I'm not sure when it'll be released. Lastly, I have a sci-fi novel that I outlined about 3 years ago and just haven't found the time to get it down on paper. So, yeah, I love Royce and Hadrian, but I have several other characters I've fallen in love with as well, and there are some other settings that are non Elan. Thanks for asking!

This is kind of a question, and I really don't know where else to put it or if I should, but you're an author that interacts frequently, consistently, and well with your readers (me included) https://kimharrison.wordpress.com/2015/10/12/you-only-hurt-the-one-you-love/ Is there anyway that people who don't hugely use social media can help besides just buy a couple of books and tell a few friends that you know of?

Hi again, I saw on a Reddit thread from a few weeks ago that you had met with some people about a possible film adaptation for Riyria, but never updated us on how the meeting went, so I thought I’d go ahead and ask! Any good news to share? I assume things haven’t progressed much otherwise you would have announced something by now, but even just a little bit of progress is still progress :) Best of luck to you!

Before jumping into Age of War, I'm re-reading Age of Swords to make sure I have a fresh memory of what happened in the last book (not that I could forget the ending, I just about cried). But there is something I wanted to ask regarding Roan. She's the ex-slave of Iver. She's the only slave that is mentioned in the village. Were people just okay with Iver owning another person? How prevalent was slavery to the Rhunes?
