A Goodreads user asked Roselle Lim:

How do you handle idea flow? What's the "it" factor that makes you keep an idea in the sea of ideas?

Roselle Lim Thank you for the question, Soriya. When I'm struck by an idea, I run it by my critique partners/writer friends first. If it’s something that excites them, I hone the logline and flesh it out to a pitch/blurb. I then run it by my agent before it even gets to my editor. It has to be something compelling and unique and, most important, makes me thrilled to write the book.
