Goodreads asked Jake Blade:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jake Blade I've found that the cure to writer's block is to just write. The beauty is not in the writing... it's in the editing. When I write I simply write any old thing. The first draft is meaningless. The final draft is everything. And, for me, I go through twenty drafts to get to the final draft. I start stories by writing non sense on purpose. I write the very basic ingredients about the story as the infrastructure. The decorations comes later. All you need is the skeleton at first. The muscles, the blood comes next. The spirit comes last.
