I read Bonfire of the Vanities many years ago. It has stuck with me for so many reasons. Any situation (book, movie, real life) where someone taks a walk on the wild side, makes a wrong turn in the wrong place, is in the wrong place at the wrong time,skinny trophy wives...I flash back to Bonfire...It was brilliant. There was a movie on HBO last year starring John Turturro called "Night Of" which was a of the above. ?

Carol: Good morning. Huge apologies for not answering your question. I'm not on Goodreads that much, and obviously, I haven't figured out the Q&A feature. I just this morning discovered your question. Mr. Wolfe was a friend and mentor, and I also love Bonfire. He is much missed. Haven't seen the movie but will keep an eye out. Enjoy the holidays.
