Goodreads asked Eleanor Merry:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Eleanor Merry #1 - write all the words. Doesn't matter if they are total garbage words that make no sense, try to write every single day if you can even if its only 100 words. They do say "you can't edit an empty page" and man, is this ever true.

#2 - make friends! The author community, for the most part, are filled with amazing and helpful humans. So much of what I have learned has been passed down from other author friends. So don't be afraid to put yourself out there and say "Hi!"

#3 - don't be discouraged - success doesn't happen overnight. Even Harry Potter got turned down a good dozen times before it was published. If you are passionate about writing and sharing your words and stories than don't give up.

#4 - Read all the books! One of the best ways you can improve your own writing and find out what people want to read is to READ ALL THE BOOKS.

Also, I love helping people and being a mentor so if anyone has specific questions or whatever please never hesitate to reach out! I am far from a master, but always happy to impart what knowledge I do have.
