This answer applies more to art ideas than to writing, but I imagine it's similar. I sketch. A lot. I fill a sketchbook approximately every 6 weeks. Some of the ideas are great. Some are garbage, and that's okay. It's easier to tell if something sucks after you actually work on it a bit.
