Hey Michael. I don't know what it is about summer that makes me miss Hadrian so much but that's usually when I'm ready to read him again. You know I agree with your wife about Hadrian!! When is the next Riyria book coming out? I'm itching for something I didn't know about him!! P.S. I've told you how much I think you ROCK but it's worth mentioning again!! I want to live in Elan!! Your biggest fan, Pam

Hadrian is a real person who lives in Ohio, his phone number is...
Wouldn't that be cool?
I keep telling my wife, "Since I created Hadrian that means, in a way, I'm him, right?" Sigh. That never goes over the way I want. And perhaps it isn't an argument I want to win as I've also created some awful characters.
I haven't started writing another Royce and Hadrian novel. Do you think anyone would read it? I've already written almost a million words about them. People are bound to get tired of the two.
Still, I have been thinking about the next chronicle. The bad news is that I have two other books I need to write first. The good news is that I tend to write close to three books a year.

In Hollow World I found Ellis Roger's struggle with sexuality and same sex relationships really fascinating. After reading Riyria and not noticing many similar undertones I was a little caught off guard and excited to see you approach an important social issue in your writing. Could you speak about what informed your decision to approach this or specific issue?

I know you said you don't plan to write a sequel to the Riyria books, and I understand because the ending is PERFECT. There's just one thing I'm curious about. Royce says that he wants to make better connections between humans and elves, but what about the dwarves? I know Royce says many times that he doesn't like them, but it doesn't really seem like a happy ending if dwarves are still left landless and persecuted.

Thanks! I've been pulled towards marketing my first book so much this week (launch week), and I'm missing the time writing book #2. You're answer up top just gave me permission! 10% of my time seems about right for the marketing. Besides, I know what I'm doing as a writer....marketing is a whole other ball game. I may need to outsource? Any thoughts on that?
