Goodreads asked Patrick Grady:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Patrick Grady I'm currently reading "The Economists' Hour: False Prophets, Free Markets, and the Fracture of Society" by Binyamin Appelbaum to get his liberal take on how my fellow economists have influenced policymaking. I also read "Capitalism in America: A History" by Alan Greenspan and Adrian Woodbridge, which chronicles how capitalism built the United States into the economic powerhouse it is today. It may seem strange to the non-economist, but economics still continues to fascinate me as much in did when I first encountered Henry Hazlitt's "Economics in One Lesson" in high school.
