Goodreads asked Casey Maxwell Clair:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Casey Maxwell Clair I had some really good training when I was writing on sit-coms. You don't really get to have writer's block. You're being paid to write and you're on a deadline. But I learned a lot of tricks from some very creative writers, such as, you have to write something. If you weren't feeling funny on a given day, you could still come up with logical or practical thoughts, so you just write "joke goes here" and keep writing. The next day, hopefully you feel funnier and you can go back and put in the jokes. I use that method for all my writing today. It's a way to keep going.
