Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

L.K. Chapman I thought it would be fun to write a story about a couple who suddenly start getting strange communications from somebody they don't know and whose motivations they do not understand- but somebody who seems to know a lot about them and is able to do extraordinary things! The story really got going once I decided that two of my main characters would be video game developers, and as I researched this lots of ideas about the plot came flooding in.

I have also always wanted to write a book that includes an intimate account of depression and how it affects a romantic relationship, so I was pleased when this issue seemed to fit quite naturally into the story.
