Goodreads asked K.L. Hawker:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

K.L. Hawker Writer's block is a very real thing, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets it regularly. Life gets busy and starts to dampen your creativity, and the next thing you know, you're sitting down to write and all you can do is stare at the screen. Nothing. Blank. When I get writer's block, I do two things. I turn my phone off or put it in another room (the distraction is real). Then I go back and read my previous book (or previous chapters). This almost always gets the creative juices flowing again.
