Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

D.B. Goodin Real-world events inspire all of my books. I try to have fun with each idea. For example, in War With Black Iris, situational awareness will play a key factor. Mobile devices are shiny objects that cause people not to pay enough attention to their surroundings. With only minimal effort, bad guys can exploit those who pay little attention to their surroundings.
