Hi Cornelia! I am a huge fan of your books and I am also an aspiring author. I was hoping you might have some advice for me about sticking to writing. How many words would you recommend trying to write in a day? I also have so many ideas, but I jump around and never finish. I have finally chosen one to see through first, but now I am having trouble finishing my plot and just writing in general. Any advice?

Cornelia Funke Shallan, you name all the things that stand between you and your story: impatience, distractions...:) we all know those. But stories only reveal themselves, when you feed them with your time, your patience, your knowledge about yourself and the world. They like to be made the center of your life, once you set out to write them and they hide and vanish, when you don't devote yourself to their discovery.

Hi, this really isn't a question, sorry? (mandatory question mark) I just wanted to tell you how much I love your books; I read Inkheart so many times as a kid that the binding completely fell apart. It, along with the rest of the Inkworld series, Dragon Rider, and The Thief Lord, still have a special place on my bookshelf and I'm excited to add the sequels! Thank you so much.

Hi! First of all, I love your Inkworld trilogy so much! They are one of my favorite series ever, and I have read all three books so much the covers all all taped together and falling apart! My question is: Do you know when your Ink-and Mirror book that you are writing is coming out yet? In English? Also, I love all the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. They are all brilliant.

?Ich habe zwar keine Frage, wollte mich aber einfach mal für all die wunderbaren Bücher bedanken, die Sie geschrieben haben!! "Die Wilden Hühner" liebe ich immer noch abgöttisch, ebenfalls "Hände weg von Mississippi" und viele andere Geschichten. "Drachenreiter" lese ich momentan noch einmal, schön mal wieder in Bücher einzutauchen, die ich vor gut 8 Jahren verschlungen habe! Vielen Dank für all diese tollen Bücher!
