Not a ?, just a fangirl gush :-) I loved the prophecy ending Curse of Chalion: “When the souls rise up in glory, yours ...shall be the prize of the gods' gardens. Even your darkness shall be treasured then, and all your pain made holy.” It reminded me of other words I've long treasured, Malachi 3:13-4:2, https://bit.ly/2PdvP9t - in God, my pain is transmuted to treasure, never wasted. Thanks for the moment of beauty!

Thanks!
That was one of those lines that just fall out of nowhere onto the page; alas that there is no way to make that process more reliable.

Hello Lois I thought the first Penric anthology looked a little underrated on Amazon.es (Amazon Spain) so I thought I´d add this review (in Spanish) under Clariana: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/1982124296?pf_rd_p=17a988a6-15ad-46df-8d9f-8365d36240ce&pf_rd_r=NAMA654AE8ECH1RKHT29 Do you have a Spanish translator for the Penric novellas yet?

No question, really, just a quick comment. I first read "The Weatherman" in Analog magazine some thirty-odd years ago and just finished GJ&RQ last week. In between, you've provided me countless hours of reading pleasure. While I hope to read many, many, (is a third "many" too many?) more of your writings for years to come, I also want to say "thank you" for all the great work you've done. Ta!

"Hallowed Hunt" is rapidly becoming one of my favorite books; I've read, and reread it about three times in the last six weeks. You are so deft in the way you unfold a story about character from "left field" becoming the tool for restoring order to a system that became unbalanced through a misguided use of power. Since a question is required, did "Hallowed Hunt" draw some inspiration from shamanistic practices?
