I'm trying to figure out a polite way to ask this, but it's a hard question. Do you dislike animals? I didn't notice so much in Carry On, but in Wayward Son you speak very casually about Baz killing pets and it's put me off so much that i'm not sure i can finish the book.

(view spoiler)[Hmmm, I don't *think* Baz is especially pet-hungry in Wayward Son. The challenge in that book -- SPOILERS AHEAD!! -- was for Baz to find something to drink in new and foreign, often urban, environments. He's usually desperate and thirsty and trying not to kill his friends. So he kills a snake, a cow, some cats (he feels bad about that), a sheep, some birds, a rabbit, and a dog. The thing is, Baz is a VAMPIRE, a vampire who is trying not to kill PEOPLE. He drains a lot of animals in Carry On -- rats, deer, a merwolf, polo ponies -- and a lot of animals in Wayward Son, and unless he develops a taste for human beings, probably a lot of animals in Any Way the Wind Blows. Finding out that you're writing She-Hulk has brought me so much excitement and joy! After the announcement of the She-Hulk series on Disney+ starring Tatiana Maslany at D23 Expo, my question is were you invovled in the screen-writing for the show at all and - if you know - how closely do the events of the show match up to the events in your upcoming novel?
