Michael J. Sullivan:
Hey Michael, I have not started reading your Legends of the First Empire series yet, but I was wondering if you have any plans to release a collection or box set including all six books?
Michael J. Sullivan
Hey there...thanks for asking. The answer is yes and no. Yes, in the respect that I'm going to have a "box made" that people can buy to put around their books, and they can even order a "full set" from me with the box and the books, but no, it won't be something you can find in the stores. Why? Well, it's because I don't own the print rights for the first three books of the series (those were published by Del Rey (a fantasy imprint of Penguin Random House). So I'm not allowed to print those books.
But what I can do is buy copies from my publisher and then combine them the books that I produce. And yes, I plan on doing the boxes for both the hardcover (all of which are now out - or will be when book #6 comes off the press in a few weeks), and the paperbacks (but the last book of that format won't be available until early next year.
Now, the only wrench in all of this, is I'm not sure how long Del Rey will keep printing the hardcover editions of Age of Myth and Age of War. Age of Swords already went "out of print" in the hardcover format, but I bought the excess stock so I have plenty of those books. But at some point, they (Del Rey) will stop producing those titles and once that happens, I'll only be able to buy the "boxes" and not have them filled with books.
So...to make a long story short. Yes, I'll make boxes, but people who want to ensure they get a full box set - they should order hardcover copies of Age of Myth and Age of War while they are still "in print" - if you want them signed, you can purchase them from my online store (http://riyria.blogspot.com/p/store.html).

Hi Michael!I am doing research for a paper on the worth of an MFA in creative writing and would love your input, if you have time. Do you have an MFA yourself? If so, how do you feel that it helped you. Are there benefits to getting published after earning an MFA? If not, do you feel like you missed anything? How have you developed your writing?Any wise words for others considering a writing path? Thanks! ~Stacee

Hello Michael I just finished all 6 of Revelation. I like to say I brought book 1-2 before I could finish I brought all in both series. Now I'm start reading the Chronicles next. But my question is have you every through about having a mini graphic novel series with Royce and Hadrian in it. I'll love to see how you vision your characters. I'll so love to see how Royce would look lol. But have you considered it?
