My next novel is a supernatural suspense thriller based on a Rocket City urban legend, Dead Children's Playground.
Drost Park is a children's playground nestled between three sheer cliff walls of an abandoned rock quarry across the street from Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama. Legend has it that after a rash of child abductions plagued Rocket City, some people say in the forties, others in the sixties, the bodies of the murdered children were found in the park.
Dead Children's Playground is a real place. Look it up! A real park that I've personally visited many times. To read. To think. Just for a picnic.
But rumor has it that the beautiful playground harbors the children's ghosts. Why do they linger? What if their play is disturbed? What are their deadly secrets? I've always wondered...
