How do you get inspired to write?

Em Rogers I get inspiration and guidance by reading and sometimes even re-reading my favorite authors. I read a lot! Examining the work for a second time gives me a chance to focus on it's rhythm and structure, as well as the sounds of the written words. Understanding the style and structure, the voice of my favorites, gives me confidence to push boundaries and to sometimes to integrate those ideas into my own work.
