Hi Emily, Are you from Wisconsin? Was your protagonist, Eleanor, based on a real Wisconsin person?

I am not originally from Wisconsin, but my father's side of the family is from central WI, and I come from a long line of farmers. Eleanor wasn't based on anyone in particular. I enjoyed imagining how a young woman in her position might find access to records and sheet music to support her obsession with musicals!
