You are definitely on a Anita Shreve, Jodi Picoult kick right now. I do that too, like a book by an author and then try to read some more they have written. Right now it is Robert Crais for me.

Yes, Nancy, I do tend to read similar books around the same time. In between the "heavy" books by Shreve and Picoult, though, I'm also reading light mysteries by Tim Cockey, Donna Andrews, and Alan Bradley. Robert Crais is a great author. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back to him, too!

Really sorry to hear that you're taking a break from writing but completely understand. I'm a new mystery writer and can't believe how much time it takes! Less time for sea kayaking, hiking, running, etc. I've found your chapter in Shameless Promotion for Brazen Hussies really helpful.
