Goodreads asked Jeffrey Caston:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jeffrey Caston Two things. 1. It is nice (and sometimes necessary for my sanity) to have something I have at least some semblance of control over. When everything else in the world seems out of whack or beyond my ability to help, I have worlds and events and anything else I set my mind to that allows my imagination to just go for it. It doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes I have some idea or a person in mind and then it is like I need to collaborate with that fictional character to reach a point of what they truly are and need to become. I definitely found that to be the case with Dr. Abel in Immunity. I'm also finding that to be the case with another character I am developing now, the Raven.

2. It is just such a great release. I have so many ideas I want to get out. Sometimes I feel like I will lose my mind if I don't try to write about them and get them out. Because there is always something new percolating between my ears!
