Hey Martin, I was curious about what you liked about this book as you gave it 5 stars? I haven't read it. There's a major controversy about a self-published book of essays (The Gadfly Papers) that the UU minister here is Spokane wrote and this book was influential to him so I was considering it. Thanks for you input.

Renée, are you referring to The Coddling of the American Mind? I am an unabashed progressive and it provided me with new paradigms to try to understand things I'm seeing in social media and on college campuses. As a father of teenagers, it gave me insights into the occasional perils of safety-first environments. It put me out of my comfort zone at times and challenged my assumptions.
