Rebekah asked Emily A. Duncan:

Hi, I was wondering if you could answer my questions and I hope they are not personnel to you, but I want to become an author one day and I hope you can answer my questions. What was the hardest thing you had to go through as an author? What fun thing did you learn while researching to write in your book?

Emily A. Duncan The HARDEST THING was when I queried the book I spent eleven years of my LIFE on and got a 100% rejection rate. This book was not WICKED SAINTS, it was something else, and, frankly, it deserved all the rejections. But it hurt! I had spent a lot of time and work on that book and I loved it a lot and having so many people look at it and say 'hm, no' was quite painful! But, eventually, it was worth it, because after that book I wrote Wicked Saints. And I had a GREAT time researching it. My favorite thing to this day was the sheer number of vampire stories I found when researching Polish folklore. There are so many vampires.
